Programme Officer
Demakpor is a Programme Officer at NETRIGHT.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. She also studied as an exchange student at Wilfrid Laurier University, Brantford, Canada in the Department of Criminology at the master’s level. Demakpor is soon to acquire her Master of Philosophy Degree in Sociology at the University of Ghana. Prior to joining NETRIGHT, she worked as an assistant to social development officers and was involved in coordinating the collaboration between NGOs and the department of social development in the Akuapem-North District of Ghana. Also, she worked as a teacher and as a teaching assistant at the University of Ghana.
As a Programme officer, Demakpor coordinates key projects aimed at ensuring economic justice for women and other vulnerable groups. She desires to be an important voice when it comes to women’s rights and inclusion. She sees the need for a world where every girl has the chance to thrive and be all she can be with community support.
