Patricia is the Programme Manager and team leader of the Secretariat. She holds a B.A in Political Science with Philosophy; MA in Development Studies with specialization in Human Resource and Employment; and Gender Studies; and a diploma in Development Leadership. She previously worked with the trades unions in Ghana from 1986 to 2000 and was the Head of Women’s Desk of the Timber and Woodworkers’ Union of TUC from 1994-2000. Patricia joined NETRIGHT in 2003; she has over twenty years working experience in gender and development. Her research and advocacy interests are women and livelihood issues; social protection and informal workers; natural resources with focus on land, oil and gas; and social (women) movements.
She has worked with women in farming, fishing and oil-fringed communities including market women/traders and women workers. Patricia is a member of the Steering Committee of the Women’s Manifesto Coalition of Ghana (WMC), member of Gender Action for Climate Change for Equality and Sustainability (GACCES). She represents NETRIGHT on the Women’s Working Group on Financing for Development (WWG on FfD) and the Women’s Major Group (WMG). She is a Co-Chair of CSOs Partnership for Development Effectiveness (CPDE) representing the feminist sector.
