As part of interventions aimed at mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on women’s livelihoods, NETRIGHT implemented a project which sought to enhance gender responsive interventions by government and other critical actors to address COVID-19 impact on livelihoods and women’s mobilising in Ghana.
The project trained CSOs and WROs on adopting digital technology to advance their work on gender equality. A stakeholder’s forum was organized to create awareness on opportunities that exist for women entrepreneurs in the business eco-environment in the midst of the COVID 19 pandemic. The project facilitated engagement between relevant stakeholders such as government agencies, CSOs, Trade Union, Female Entrepreneurs, and the general public on assessing the gender responsiveness of COVID-19 measures, its impact on women entrepreneurs and government’s interventions to support women-owned MSMEs’ financial inclusion in Ghana’s digital economy.
